My name is Cathy Davis, Director of Early Childhood Education for the Rogers Public Schools.  I would like to extend a warm welcome to you and your family as you review our Pre-K website, seeking to learn more about our outstanding Pre-Kindergarten Program in the school district.  The blue column, at top left of this page, provides information regarding our Spring Pre-K Registration, April 18 & 19 for the new school year in August 2012.  There is also information regarding our pre-k curriculum of study, parental involvement, and the Fall PK Newsletter.

Our full-day, center based pre-k program has 340 four-year-old students in 17 pre-kindergarten classrooms throughout the school district at the following locations:

We also have home-based instruction for parents of preschool youngsters, called the HIPPY Program.  This program is for families of three, four, or five year olds whose parent(s) meet income or other requirements.  Contact the HIPPY Coordinator at 479-631-3572 to see if your family would qualify.

The Pre-K students are excited to be starting their 2nd semester of discovery and learning in the Rogers Public Schools, as we help each child reach his full potential in preparation for Kindergarten in August.

Happy Winter Learnings!

We look forward to having the opportunity to visit with our parents at Parent-Teacher Conferences the week of February 6 - 10 at all Pre-K classroom sites.

Valentine Parties will be held in the Rogers Public Schools on Tuesday, February 14th during the last hour of the classroom day.  Students may bring valentines to share with all 20 classmates.  Please contact your child's teacher for ways you can help provide refreshments or party favors for this special event.

Parent Reminder:  Only store-purchased cookies, cupcakes, or other wrapped treats!  No homemade baked goods.

The Annual Pre-K Easter Egg Hunt / Party will be held on Friday afternoon, April 6th, at your child's pre-k classroom.  Parents are most welcome to donate plastic eggs for this special event.  Contact your child's teacher, during the first week of April, for ways to help or provide party refreshments.

In celebration of Arkansas Children's Week each April, our Pre-Kindergarten Program hosts their Annual Pre-K Family Literacy Fair.  Our theme for this year's fair will be....."Join-Me-Under-the-Storytelling-Tree!" - -with this special event schedued at Elmwood Middle School, on Thursday April 12 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
